IST NEW DELHI OPEN INTERNATIONAL FIDE RATING RAPID CHESS TOURNAMENT 2024

Aadvika Sahu also secured 3rd place in tournament organised by Sara Foundation (Under the aegis of AICF and Delhi Chess Association) held at Thyagraj Stadium, New Delhi between 30th Nov & 1st December with cash prize of Rs. 4500/- along with Trophy.

UTTARAKHAND STATE CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP 2024

Aadvika Sahu, a class III student has achieved a remarkable feat by securing the position of winner at U-09 State Chess Championship, with cash prize of Rs. 2500/- along with trophy. She will also represent Uttarakhand in U-09 National Chess Tournament.

1ST SKILLCRAFT OPEN INTERNATIONAL RATING RAPID CHESS TOURNAMENT

I am feeling very glad to share this news that Aadvika secured 1st position on 1st Skillcraft Open International Rating Rapid Chess tournament (under the aeiges of Skillcraft and AICF) in U-8 category with cash prize of 7000/- rupees along with Trophy . Tournament was held at Thyagraj Stadium on 27-28 July and organised by Skillcraft and Aminent academy.

UNICORN INTERNATIONAL FIDE RATED CHESS TOURNAMENT (2024-25)

AadvikaSahu of class III-A, won first prize in best U-08 category at 1st Unicorn International FIDE rated chess tournament with cash prize of 3500/- along with Trophy. Tournament was held at Technocrats Institute of Science, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.

Khushi Rawat also won Bronze medal in Yoga championship.

Interschool Badminton Championship (2023 - 2024)

We are proud to announce that VISION VALLEY SCHOOL had a clean sweep in the Interschool Badminton Championship organised by Kashipur Sports Stadium. Koustubh Tyagi won 5 medals and was the winner of Boys U-17, U-19 & Mix-doubles U-17. Manasvi Sajwan won 6 medals and was the winner of girls U-13, U-15 & Mix-doubles U-17. Tanishka Adlakha (winner in girls double U-11, U-15), Meet Arora, Tanishi Singh, Parthiv Sajwan, Advika Rawat, Taniya Bathla & Yashdeep Singh also won various medals. Our students won a total of 7 gold & 7 silver and overall School Championship!!

Tanishka Adlakha was the youngest player in the competition & she cleared 2-rounds defeating players senior than her. So they gave her consolation prize for being the youngest player.

Football

Inter-house football championship brings forth the hidden sport talents of the students. Exciting inter-house football competition were held in school premises. The nail bitting final was between Cauveri and Ganga house. Finally Cauveri house emerged as winner.

Yonex Sunrise All India Sub Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament

Congratulations to Koustubh Tyagi for winning Gold Medal at Yonex Sunrise All India Sub Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament and holding 7 th All India Rank.
Koustubh Tyagi of class VIII, jumped 3 positions to hold the 7 th rank in All India under 13 Ranking Tournament organised by Yonex Sunrise at Udapi, Karnataka from 2-July’19 to 7-July’19. Participating in double under 13, Koustubh Tyagi had won the Gold Medal at National Level.

Parth Arora of class II got the first position in under 7 years (20 Kg) category of the 3rd North India Open Karate Tournament 2018, organised by Uttarakhand Dhammika Kai Karate Association on 15th & 16th Dec’ 18 held at Haldwani.

Roller Hawks- India organised ‘National Roller Hawks Speed Skating Championship 2019’ and “National Roller Basketball Championship2019” from 1st to 3rd Jan2019 at Punjab University campus, Chandigarh. Roshanpreet Singh of class VII of Vision Valley School showed tremendous determination and skill and won II position in U-14 group of both the championships. He will also be representing the country in the upcoming International Roller Skating Championship in April 2019. We congratulate Roshanpreet Singh on this achievement and wish him the best for his future Endeavours.

13 students of Vision Valley School appeared for a test for yellow belt under the guidance and training from the Coach Shalini. All the 13 students qualified and received Yellow belt. The training is provided in the school during the activity lessons

Ekwanshi Tyagi (IX-A) of Vision Valley School emerged winner of Winter Shuttler Cup Organised by Kashipur Badminton Association in under-15 as well as under-19 category and received a cash prize of Rs. 3000/- in each event.

A nail-biting basket ball match between Narmada and Godavari houses on the last working day of 2018, filled up the school atmosphere with lots of excitement n joy!! Although Godavari house gave a tough competition, Narmada house was the proud winner .

Junior Annual Sports Day

Annual Sports Day helps children to explore their hidden sports interest as they enjoy a healthy competition and also build their confidence. This year’s Junior Annual Sports Day was held on 03rd Dec’2018 . Mr. Manoj Sarkar, who is Para-badminton Arjun Awardee graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He was highly impressed by the efforts put by the school in encouraging sports. Various interesting races were held on the occasion. Colourful drills by the students were also the highlights of the day.

In the State Badminton Championship organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports held at Dehradun, once again Ekwanshi Tyagi bagged Gold medal in ‘Under 14’ Team event and also in ‘Under 14’ Doubles. She also secured 2nd position in the ‘Under 14’ Singles category. The school congratulates her and wisher her All the Best.

CBSE National Yoga Competition-2016-17

A team of four students represented Vision Valley School at the CBSE National Yoga Competition hosted by Acharyakulam and held at Patanjali Yogpeeth, Haridwar. The event organised between 17th to 21st November was a great learning experience for the participants who got the opportunity to interact with yog guru Baba Ramdev in person. They also received a participation trophy, certificates and Patanjali gift hampers as momentos.

Inter District Athletics Competition

Kamaljeet Kaur Samra of Class XI participated in the Inter District Athletics Competition and secured first position in Shotput. She was awarded a gold medal and has also qualified for the State level.

Inter School Badminton Tournament

Several prizes were won by the students of Vision Valley School in the Inter School Badminton Tournament organized by Kashipur Badminton Club at the Kashipur Stadium from 13th Oct to 15th Oct’16. The winners in different categories were awarded with trophies and felicitated in the school assembly.

Vasu Verma of Class VI bites gold at the National Level Kudo Competition held in Mumbai. 1785 students from across the country participated in the event wherein Vasu Verma excelled in the under 11, 37-kilogram category.

Kamaljeet Kaur of Class X took part in the District level Discuss throw and attained the first position. She also took part in Shot-Put and secured the third position and was selected for the state level. At the State level Women’s Sports Competition organised by Rajiv Gandhi Khel Abhiyan at Dehradun she secured the second position and went on to qualify for the National level where she secured the fifth position and made everyone feel proud. Well done Kamaljeet and keep going!

In the North Zone Junior Badminton Championship held at Thyagraj Stadium, New Delhi, Koustubh Tyagi of class IV secured the third position and was selected for the National Badminton Championship in Under-9 category.

In the 25th U.S. Nagar District Taekwondo Championship Khushi Gautam, Shourya Mehrotra and Yuvraj Chawla brought laurels to the school by bringing the Gold and Silver medals home.
