Harela, a traditional festival of Uttarakhand, was celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervor at Vision Valley School. The festival, which marks the onset of the rainy season and the beginning of the sowing cycle, holds significant cultural and environmental importance. A special assembly was executed by the students of class 3 to 5, with a warm welcome by the host, giving an introduction to the significance of Harela. The highlight of the assembly were the cultural performances by the students. The young performers captivated the audience with a beautiful song that celebrated the spirit of Harela. Following the song, the students presented a traditional dance performance on Pahadi music. Dressed in vibrant traditional attire, the children gracefully showcased the folk dance forms of Uttarakhand. Their synchronized movements and joyful expressions brought the essence of the Harela festival to life. The special assembly concluded with a speech by the principal, who praised the efforts of the students and teachers in organizing the event. The Principal emphasized the importance of preserving cultural heritage. The celebration of Harela at Vision Valley School was a resounding success, fostering a sense of community and cultural pride among the students. The event not only educated the children about their cultural roots but also provided them with a platform to express their talent and emphasised on tree plantation.
